Not Monet's Bridge

Contemporary docks, gangways and sanitation systems were installed at Shilshole Bay Marina a couple years ago as part of the $80 million marina makeover by the Port of Seattle. There are 1411 slips, many of them occupied by a large liveaboard sailboat community. Gone is the romance of rotting wood and creaking pipes. Even the new contemporary metal gangways can look magical at sunset when the marina lights come up and color the water reflections of hundreds of masts.
