A couple relaxing in the tomato-red chairs that say "that shot must be from Seattle," just as the green ones in le Jardin du Luxembourg or Les Tuileries instantly say "this must be in Paris." Wishing you a barefoot kind of start to a great July weekend. Seattle has its 60th Annual Seafair Torchlight Run and Parade downtown tomorrow; the giant 35th Annual Ballard Seafood Fest (street fair, live music, beer & wine gardens, 2000 lbs of fresh alder smoked salmon barbecue dinners cooked by authentic Ballardites who chopped down the alder tree a week ago and fabricated their own street cookers years ago--these guys know what the heck they are doing, the best you'll find anywhere and only $9!) takes place on a 3 block stretch of NW Market St. Sat & Sun. Please eat some for me, as I will be attending a Better Photo Summit and shoot at the EMP. Ah, summer pleasures!
