If you are a Husky, you will recognize this emblem on Denny Hall, built in 1895, the first building erected on the University of Washington's campus. The university is thought to have one of the most beautiful campuses on the west coast. I enjoy seeing the interesting architectural details to be found in its building designs from many eras. Denny Hall will undergo an estimated 56 million dollar renovation being designed now and expected to take place from late 2009 and completed in September of 2011. This project is part of the the 10 year "restore the core" capital campaign. Please excuse the degraded image resolution I've been experiencing when resizing photos of late.
